ReplyDelete1. 12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse: If I get better with the Bible then I can be more discerning. like I was watching a show that talked about how the Aztec calender was reliable and it said the world would end in 2012 and I was half for the reuniting of the crystal skulls to save the world lol. but basically i'm saying the wisdom that comes from God, from the Bible makes me able to say um...no we don't know when the world is going to end or whatever the dilemma is.
2. 19 None who go to her return or attain the paths of life: this is talking about the "wayward wife" and it just confuses me cause it says none who go to her return, and I assume this means none who go and STAY with her return but i'm not entirely clear.
3. turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding,
3 and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.
I have prayed and wondered for a long time how to fear God properly so this verse is a good lesson for me because it says that if we "turn our ear to wisdom and apply our heart to understanding...then you will understand the fear of Lord so im still kinda like well what does fearing God look like, but i also know its tied with wisdom because of this verse and the one about the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. i dunno-what do you think?
1. What Proverb is most applicable in your life today?
ReplyDelete26 Make level paths for your feet
and take only ways that are firm.
27 Do not swerve to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.
*For me, this time of interviews and lack of money and trying to figure out how to grow and get to the next part of my life it is very important that i stay on the firm paths and not try to take any shortcuts.
2. What Proverb is most difficult to understand?
3 When I was a boy in my father's house, still tender, and an only child of my mother,
4 he taught me and said,"Lay hold of my words with all your heart;keep my commands and you will live.
* this is more of a question, but i thought solomon had plenty of brothers and sisters? and who is his mother? King david was his father right? just fact checking...
3. What Proverb has the biggest lesson to learn?
11 I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.
With wisdom and knowledge and understanding like this proverb says we will not stumble. It's best to want to grow and know more and gain this knowledge so that one can have that security.
hey! so this is from wikipedia but it's sourced from the Bible:
ReplyDeletehis mother was Bathsheba
siblings were Absalom, Amon ( 2 samuel 13) and Adonjiah ( 1 kings 2:13-25)
